I am a Soldier!

Please take a few minutes to listen to this speech by Dwight L. Moody. One of my fellow students shared it as part of a devotional earlier this week and it really impacted me. I know it's a little long but please take the time to listen to it before reading the rest of this post. I promise it's worth it.

The sunrise
I am a soldier. I am part of an army of believers who are willing to travel the world for God, because I want people to know the how much we are all loved by our Creator. Being a soldier comes at a cost. I have given up time with friends, family, and possibly the opportunity to have an amazing career that makes good money. I have to choose this life every day. Some days I love the chance to travel and meet new people as I share what God has done in my life with others. Other days I want to be anywhere but right where I am because I miss my friends and family, and I often detest the challenges that come my way. Every morning when I wake up, I make the choice to be a soldier. I hope it is a choice that I will keep on making when I laugh like a lunatic overcome with joy and when I cry because my heart longs for those I care for but cannot be with.
I am also a work in progress. I know this because every day and every week, God is teaching me something new about himself or myself. I do not think this project will ever be completed and I can't say that I mind. I love growing closer to God and learning more about his heart for me and his heart for those young and old all over the world.

My fellow students and I may be nearing the end of our five month School of Evangelism, but that doesn't mean our learning will stop here. God has been equipping us with the tools and strategies we need to reach the nations. I've learned about Paul and the early Church in the book of Acts with the way they valued fellowship, worship, and prayer. I've learned about the battles you face when you pioneer in a city that is waiting to encounter God's love through the Holy Spirit. I've learned about the importance of knowing the history of the area you are living in or preparing to travel too, because what you learn may impact your time there.  As well as, the importance of opening up and letting others be a part of our walk with Jesus so that they can speak into our lives, but also learn from our mistakes. All of these things along with the importance of prayer, worship, and knowing our strengths has helped me grow so much.
We have a little more than fifteen days before we leave for Central Asia on outreach. There we will be sharing with others what God has been doing in our lives and how much He loves each one of us. I am so excited for upcoming journey and I know God is going to be moving in powerful ways. Right now I am trusting God for $7,250 to be able to pay for the teaching that I have been receiving and to go on this trip to Central Asia. I am trusting God to provide and ask you to partner with me in prayer. I have seen God' s provision for myself and for others. On the last school I did we saw roughly $10,000 come in over the course of a week for various individuals to be able to go on outreach! I know God can do exceedingly more than I could ever ask or imagine, and am trusting him to provide.

Will you stand with me in prayer to see God provide in miraculous ways?

Thank you for reading and for supporting me in this journey!
Blessings,
Amy

Please pray for:
- An open heart and mind as I continue to grow in God
- Finances: I am currently needing roughly $7000 for my school and outreach fees to be paid off. To give you a better idea of what that looks like it comes to about 50 people giving $140 each.
- Health
- Open doors as we prepare to go to Central Asia for outreach in three weeks
- That I would get everything packed before I leave as I'm going to be switching living quarters several times before actually getting on the plane

If you would like to contact me regarding finances please email me at amyt.dr@gmail.com and I can send you the details.
